We had an amazing stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with attention to even the smallest details. They were always ready to recommend places to visit and restaurants to try, making our experience in this quiet neighborhood truly memorable. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and within walking distance to some of the traditional temples. The room was well-designed and had all the amenities we needed, including a cozy dining area and a flat-screen TV with Netflix and YouTube. The complimentary taxi service into town was a great bonus, although we often opted for the nearby bus station.

I would highly recommend this place to friends. It was a fantastic hotel with great service and amenities.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. The location was perfect for visiting the traditional temples in the area, as well as being conveniently close to the train station. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were beautifully designed and fitted with comfortable beds, Netflix, and Nespresso machines, as well as having unexpected extras like free laundry service.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like about this hotel, it was truly exceptional in every way.

The hotel accommodations were beyond amazing! The room was spacious, clean and offered modern amenities like Netflix and our own washer-dryer combo. The bathroom was also really nice with surprises like wood panels that made the space feel cozy and large all at once. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and offered complementary taxi rides each morning to get around town. The hotel's location was perfect, not too far from the traditional temples in town.

Not much to complain about, but the only downside was that although the hotel's location was great for the temples, it was a bit far from restaurants and a bit of a walk after a long day of sightseeing. It would have been nice if we could have made outbound calls from our room phone, but overall everything else was perfect.

The location was close to many major attractions and the room had all the necessary amenities we needed.

Our stay during Christmas was not what we expected. the room had a musty smell that couldn't seem to go away.

Our stay at Karen Kyoto Higashiyama was absolutely delightful. We were greeted with the warmest welcome and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The unlimited soft drinks in the lobby and daily beer were a fantastic touch. The choice of breakfast delivered straight to our room was convenient and tasty. And let's not forget the luxurious bath salts provided for a relaxing soak after a chilly day exploring Kyoto. The complimentary taxi ride back to the train station was a lovely gesture. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.
